This project uses the three-body problem as a metaphor for global relationships. Three celestial bodies represent countries: when they move too close it suggests conflict, when they drift apart it suggests relative stability or peace. The core intention is to produce realtime speculative fiction that stays dynamic — as the elements move, the story also changes.
Three-body distance values are interpreted as geopolitical tension, and the shifting state produces realtime narrative conditions. This data is sent to an LLM (Grok / ChatGPT) to generate speculative fiction while also letting me compare how different models construct stories under the same input.
The generated text drives StreamDiffusion visuals on the top screen, while story and image are printed or embossed on the bottom as machine-written history. Archived outputs feed the next prompt to build continuous memory. The backend runs in TouchDesigner with custom Python software sending OSC data.
A metallic flower arrangement accompanies the installation, growing or wilting by the end of the exhibition — a metaphor for minor powers orbiting larger ones, present yet with little influence on the global scale.
